An American professional membership organization promoting high literacy levels for all. Aimed at classroom teachers, reading specialists, consultants, administrators, supervisors, university faculty researchers, psychologists, librarians, media specialists, and parents. Includes literacy and education links, awards and grants, publications and journals.

NCFL is a nonprofit organization. It supports family literacy services for families across the United States through training, programming, research, advocacy and dissemination.

• Reading OnLine : http://www.readingonline.org/

A peer/reviewed journal from the International Reading Association, focussing on literacy practice and research in K/12 classrooms (student ages 5 to 18).

 

• Reading Recovery Council of North America : http://www.readingrecovery.org/

This is a non-for-profit association of Reading Recovery professionals, advocates, and partners. The Council provides a network of opportunities for lesdership and professional development. Plenty of articles and discussion of literacy. Search by keyword or site index.
