Safety First! Where are we with safety campaigning?

 

AGSEV have been committed over the years to attaining high standards of safety for our school by campaigning on and contributing to the realization of necessary changes. Change is never easy. For some goals it has taken years of meetings with stakeholders and, in some cases, AGSEV and parent representatives have had to take a strong position.

 

We are pleased to be able to list our most important achievements to date:

• – Surveillance cameras at every access point.
• – Creation of a security buffer for young people coming into and out of the side gate in front of the Villa: helping avoid congestion, although this has now been much eased by the new exit procedure.
• – Security guards for access to Via Mameli: 2 guards who control « motorized » access in the street
• – Total blockage of traffic, including for teachers, on via Mameli: drive-over gates for school staff open only the departure of the Buses
• – Evaluation projects for Bus to School entrance: we have always requested an easy departure and exit from the buses for the children, different projects have been analyzed to allow the entrance of the Buses to the School, all different in type and budget. A decision on the latest projects is expected in the near future.
• – Viability via Montello: the reduction of traffic in via montello is a subject of great sensitivity as well as respect for the signs. In the intersection between Via Marzorati / Montello the prohibition of transit is often underestimated and this causes traffic jams with consequent delay of the Buses. We have requested a drastic intervention, the evaluation of a traffic light with a camera is being examined by the competent local authorities.
• – Pedestrian viability in via Montello: concrete proposals have been submitted and discussed with the competent local authorities finding a mutual consent. The implementation was expected in these weeks but we are confident of a short delay

Sicurezza

 

Forse il tema più sensibile se non il più importante.

Sono anni che ci impegniamo per avere alti standard di sicurezza per la nostra scuola segnalando e contribuendo alla realizzazione degli stessi.
Non é stato facile e per alcuni traguardi ci sono voluti anni di riunioni e, in qualche caso, ferme posizioni.

Siamo lieti di poter elencare le nostre realizzazioni più importanti:

• -Telecamere di sorveglianza ad ogni accesso
• -Piattaforma di carico e scarico ragazzi di fronte al cancelletto : al momento non é più utilizzata per l’implementazione dela nuova procedura di uscita
• -Guardie di vigilanza per l’accesso a Via Mameli : 2 guardie che controllano gli accessi motorizzati nella via
• -Blocco totale del traffico, insegnanti compresi, per via Mameli : i cancelli carrabili per il personale scolastico si aprono solo la partenza dei Bus
• -Progetti di valutazione ingresso Bus a Scuola : abbiamo sempre richiesto un’agevole salita ed uscita dai bus per i ragazzi, sono stati analizzati diversi progetti per permettere l’ingresso dei -Bus a Scuola, tutti differenti per tipologia e budget. Una decisione sugli ultimi progetti é in previsione.
• – Viabilità via Montello: la riduzione del traffico in via montello é oggeto di grande sensibilità come anche il rispetto della segnaletica. Nel’incrocio fra via Marzorati/Montello il divieto di transito é spesso sottovalutato e questo provoca ingorghi con conseguente ritardo dei Bus. Abbiamo richiesto un drastico intervento, la valutazione di un semaforo con telecamera é a vaglio delle autorità locali competenti.
• – Viabilità pedonale in via Montello : proposte concrete sono state sottoposte e discusse con le autorità locali competenti trovando un reciproco consenso. L’implementazione era prevista in queste settimane ma confidiamo in un breve ritardo
